Understanding the 200-Character Limit on Connection Requests

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Over the past few months, the Social Platform has made a small change that affects how much text you can include in a connection request. Here's what’s going on.

Previously, the Social Platform allowed up to 300 characters in connection request messages. However, some users (particularly those without a paid subscription) now have a reduced limit of 200 characters per request.

If this applies to your account, you'll see the limit reflected in your Account Settings:

You may try resetting the limit by clicking the button provided. However, if the restriction is enforced by the Social Platform, the 200-character limit will reappear shortly after.

If this happens, we recommend adjusting your connection request message to stay within the allowed character count for your account to ensure deliverability.
