Why do profiles need to re-enter PINs when they go inactive?
Last updated: April 13, 2026
If one of your connected Social Accounts becomes inactive and suddenly requires a PIN to log back in, this can be inconvenient — but it’s important to know that this behavior is driven by the Social Platform’s security systems. PIN re-entry is a standard security measure and cannot be controlled from our side.
Common Reasons for PIN Re-Entry
Several situations can trigger the Social Platform to ask for a PIN again:
Standard security behavior
The Social may request re-authentication based on its internal security logic.
Account re-synch
If the Social Platform requires the account to be logged in again, a PIN is requested.
Changes to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Updating or enabling 2FA always requires re-verification.
Cookie deletion or expiration
Cookies store login sessions. If they expire or are cleared, the Social Platform prompts a new login.
Social platform updates
Interface or security updates can occasionally reset active sessions.
Session conflicts
Logging into the same Social account from multiple devices may trigger a security reset.
Can This Be Prevented?
Unfortunately, no. PIN re-entry is a security feature and cannot be disabled or bypassed by our platform.
How to Minimize Disruptions
While PIN prompts can’t be fully avoided, you can reduce how often they occur by:
Keeping your account active on a regular basis
Avoiding simultaneous logins on multiple devices (we recommend using our Browser to access your Social account)

Limiting unnecessary changes to security settings
Avoiding frequent cookie clearing when possible
