Why Does My Campaign Show Zero Prospects or No Activity?

Last updated: October 23, 2026

If your campaign shows zero prospects or no movement, first check whether the platform has a valid source to find prospects, whether those people are eligible to join, and whether the campaign has prospects ready for its next step. Search results can take time to populate, and prospects may be filtered out or paused. Find the symptom that matches what you see.

“I uploaded a CSV, but the prospects aren’t showing”

A matching rule in your Blacklist can automatically exclude a CSV prospect. Excluded people may not appear in the campaign’s active prospect list.

To check, open Prospects and filter by Status > Excluded. Review the excluded prospects. To inspect the rules, go to Settings > Blacklist. If a person matches a rule, update the rule only if you want that person included in future campaigns. For more on CSV setup, see How to Upload a CSV File to Your Campaign.

Also check that the CSV uploaded successfully and that its columns were mapped to the right fields. For a campaign with LinkedIn steps, confirm the file includes valid LinkedIn profile links. A missing required field or incorrect email mapping can leave a prospect pending rather than ready to run.

“The people are in another campaign, not this one”

The system normally avoids adding a prospect to more than one campaign. To include prospects already in another campaign, use Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns when creating the new campaign. Add the same search or CSV source, open Settings in the campaign’s top menu, turn on the setting, then save the campaign. The existing campaign must already contain those prospects before you create the new one.

If the campaign is already created, turning on the setting later won’t pull those prospects in retroactively. Duplicate or create a new campaign, enable the setting before saving, and add the source again. See Campaign Settings: Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns & Recontact Prospects for details.

Recontact Prospects is a separate setting. Turn it on at campaign setup if you want to reach profiles you previously contacted through Social. It does not replace Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns. If a moved or previously contacted prospect remains paused, review its status before resuming it.

“My campaign is active, but it has zero prospects”

A running campaign still needs a working source. Confirm a search or CSV is attached. If you use a search, open its URL and check that it returns results; correct the link or its filters if it does not. If you use a CSV, confirm that the file was uploaded and its fields mapped correctly. Common Reasons That Prevent Prospects from Joining Your Campaign has more checks.

Searches may add prospects gradually during your account’s operating hours. If Instant searches is off, new results may not appear immediately. You can review Settings > Account Limits > Pages Searched to see the limit that controls how many search pages are processed. Allow the search time to run before comparing the campaign count with the full search results.

“There are prospects, but nothing is happening”

Check whether prospects are Pending or Paused. In the campaign, select Pending to see the reason. Hover over a prospect’s status tag for more detail, then resolve the stated issue. For paused prospects, review the pause reason before restarting them.

To resume prospects you intend to continue, open Prospects, filter by the campaign, select the relevant people, and choose Action > Resume campaign. Make sure the campaign itself is not paused. The Overview of Prospect Statuses explains the status labels.

“Connection requests aren’t going out”

The daily limit is a maximum, not a promise that the campaign will send that many requests. There must be eligible prospects ready for the Send connection request step. Check that prospects are not paused, delayed, or pending, then go to Settings > Account Limits and review Connection requests, Views of Profiles, and Connection Request Booster.

The Booster can save profile views, but it does not remove LinkedIn’s own limits. If LinkedIn has limited requests, reduce the request volume, temporarily turn off the Booster, and wait for the limitation to lift. Don’t raise limits beyond what your account can safely handle. See Connection Request Booster: Maximize Your Outreach and Connection Request Limits.

If the source, prospect statuses, and account limits look right but the campaign still has no activity, contact Support with the campaign name, source type, a screenshot of the status, and a couple of example prospect URLs.
